This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Site or submit a quote request, how we use that information, and the choices you have. By using this Site or submitting a form, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Who We Are

BucksCountyHVACCost.com is a homeowner-to-contractor lead referral service for residents of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding Philadelphia metro area. We are not an HVAC contractor. We connect homeowners who request quotes with licensed, insured Pennsylvania HVAC contractors who serve Bucks County.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

When you submit our quote-request form or call our tracked phone number, we collect:

• Your name
• Phone number
• Email address
• Service type requested (e.g., AC replacement, full HVAC, heat pump)
• Township or borough within Bucks County
• Any optional notes you include in the message field
• Call recordings and call metadata when you dial our tracked number (handled by our call-tracking provider)

Information We Collect Automatically

Like most websites, we collect limited technical information automatically, including:

• Browser type and version
• Device type and operating system
• IP address (used only in aggregate to understand traffic origin)
• Referring URL and pages visited on the Site
• Approximate geographic location (city/region level)

We use this data only to improve the Site and detect abuse. We do not build advertising profiles on visitors.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you submit for the following purposes:

• Lead delivery. We share your contact details with up to three (3) licensed Bucks County HVAC contractors so they can provide you with quotes.
• Service quality. We may follow up by email or phone to confirm a contractor reached you and to ask about your experience.
• Site improvement. Aggregate data (e.g., which townships are most common, which service types are requested) helps us improve the content and accuracy of cost information.
• Legal compliance. If required by law, court order, or to investigate fraud or abuse.

4. Who Receives Your Information

We share your submitted contact details only with:

• Vetted HVAC contractors who are licensed in Pennsylvania (with current PA Home Improvement Contractor registration) and insured. Each lead is typically distributed to up to three contractors who serve your specific Bucks County township.
• Service providers who help us operate the Site, including our form-processing provider (Formspree), our call-tracking provider (CallRail), and our email service. These providers are contractually limited to using your information only to provide their services to us.
• Authorities if compelled by valid legal process.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to marketing list brokers, telemarketers, or third parties unrelated to your HVAC request.

5. Call Tracking

The phone number displayed on this Site is a tracked number managed by CallRail. When you call, the following may be recorded: the calling number, call duration, the time and date of the call, and the audio content of the call. Recordings are used for quality control and lead verification. By calling the displayed number, you consent to call recording in jurisdictions where one-party consent is sufficient. If you do not consent, please end the call and contact contractors directly through other channels.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use a minimal set of first-party cookies and analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. We do not currently run third-party advertising trackers or retargeting pixels. If we add analytics in the future (e.g., Google Analytics, Plausible), we will update this policy. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; this Site will continue to function normally.

7. Data Retention

We retain submitted lead information for up to 24 months for service quality, dispute resolution, and contractor performance review. After that period, identifying details are deleted or anonymized. Call recordings are retained for up to 12 months. You may request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 9).

8. Security

Form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption). Lead data is stored with our service providers behind industry-standard access controls. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach occurs that involves your information, we will notify affected users in accordance with applicable Pennsylvania law.

9. Your Choices and Rights

You have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your information from our systems (subject to legitimate business or legal retention obligations).
• Opt out of further contact at any time.

10. Children's Privacy

This Site is intended for homeowners and adults age 18+. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Pennsylvania Residents

Pennsylvania law (including the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law) governs commercial relationships in Pennsylvania. This Site complies with applicable Pennsylvania consumer protection requirements, including disclosure that we are a lead referral service rather than an HVAC contractor.

12. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no industry standard for how to interpret this signal, we currently do not respond to it. We do not engage in cross-site behavioral advertising on this Site.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the homepage for a reasonable period. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
